Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This website, www.greyematter.com, is operated by Jonathan Greye, doing business as Greye Matter (“we,” “us,” “our”). We’re responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact: jon@greyematter.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting provider and the services that deliver our fonts and scripts receive standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems.

We don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, or session recording. Our Cookie Policy has the details.

3. How we use your information

4. How we share information

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and the business, and only so they can do that job:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or sale, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

Text messaging: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

5. How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and follow up. If we work together, we keep project and business records for as long as the relationship continues and as required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes. After that, we delete it or keep it only in anonymized form.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to:

Email jon@greyematter.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for making a request. Depending on where you live, including California, other U.S. states, the UK, and the EU, you may have additional rights under local law, and we’ll honor them.

7. Do Not Track

We don’t track visitors over time or across other websites, so there’s nothing for “Do Not Track” browser signals to switch off. Global Privacy Control signals are honored in the same way: we don’t sell or share personal information to begin with.

8. Visitors outside the United States

We’re based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the U.S. and other countries. If you’re in the UK or EU, we process your information based on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and running our business, to take steps you’ve requested before entering into a contract, or with your consent (for example, for texts or marketing emails), which you can withdraw at any time.

9. Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and we use reputable providers with strong security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don’t send highly sensitive information, such as passwords or payment details, through the contact form.

10. Children

This site is for business professionals and isn’t directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the UK and EU). We don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

11. Links to other sites

This site links to other websites, such as Calendly, Amazon, client sites, and social media. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here with a new effective date. If we make significant changes, such as starting to use analytics or cookies, we’ll update this page before they take effect.
